Port Stephens Council Koala Park Sanctuary Stage 1

Case Studies • January 29, 2020

Today Michilis hands over Stage 1 of the Port Stephens Council Koala Sanctuary Project.

This project has seen the construction of a colossal 600m public walkway, three koala viewing enclosures, 350m of wildlife fencing and enclosure access tracks.

Over the past few months Michilis have worked closely with Port Stephens Council and Port Stephens Koalas to complete Stage 1 of the Koala Sanctuary.

This new facility will be utilised to house recovering koalas that have been injured during the recent bushfires that have devastated NSW.

We would like to thank the whole team for contributing to the successful delivery of this project.

Michilis are powering ahead in delivery of the Koala Park Grand Treetop Walkway for Port Stephens Council. The Company is proud to support the local community with an education program underway, to learn more about these beautiful native creatures.
