Case Studies • May 12, 2018

Michilis in conjunction with Ausgrid embarked on delivering one of Ausgrid's largest sub-stations in Newcastle before completion of the design.

Whilst construction of this architectural designed substation was progressing, further scope was instructed by our Client to carryout installation of high voltage lead-in cabling infrastructure to power the Substation.

External works around neighbouring parks and public land were also completed including the installation of the Styx Creek Bridge.

Solar Energy and farming remains at the forefront for renewable technology. Michilis were engaged by CSIRO to carry out the earth & civil works to support this sophisticated infrastructure. Precision on this Project was the outcome. Each footing & bolt configuration was placed precisely in order to gain the maximum directional line for the reflecting mirrors. These mirrors (once positioned correctly) reflected back to the heat ex-changer located at the apex of the tower.
