Wow, this build took some thinking beyond the box! The Michilis crew had to work with the ocean, tidal surges and aggressive storms battering against the work/cliff face. The site imposed limitations with accessibility and excessive loading's to terraced roadway. Michilis engineered the idea of pre-stabilisation of the existing wall & cliff to allow heavier plant & equipment to access the site to maintain conventional practices.
However the proof is in the pudding, Michilis delivered this D&C project, (Councils most difficult & unique Project), matching the requests of the Client and their desired outcome. "Ensure it blends with the environment around it".
Michilis in conjunction with Ausgrid embarked on delivering one of Ausgrid's largest sub-stations in Newcastle before completion of the design.
