Michilis has been involved in building Substations for Ausgrid since 2006, with our first substation being at Croudace Bay. Since this delivery Michilis has moved on to Build 6 new major substations and numerous amounts of extensions to switch yards and other high voltage infrastructure's.
Michilis has recently been awarded a 3 year works contract with Ausgrid to service the entire Upper Hunter, Lower Hunter and Newcastle network.
Michilis have gained extensive certification in all Quality, WHS & Environment standards
We also have in-house personnel highly trained and qualified to work in Live yard and on Ausgrid network assets.
Michilis in conjunction with Ausgrid embarked on delivering one of Ausgrid's largest sub-stations in Newcastle before completion of the design.
Solar Energy and farming remains at the forefront for renewable technology. Michilis were engaged by CSIRO to carry out the earth & civil works to support this sophisticated infrastructure. Precision on this Project was the outcome. Each footing & bolt configuration was placed precisely in order to gain the maximum directional line for the reflecting mirrors. These mirrors (once positioned correctly) reflected back to the heat ex-changer located at the apex of the tower.
